Public Exhibition

These images are from a group public exhibition, where I presented an installation centred around my childhood mattress, recontextualising an intimate domestic object as a site of memory, psyche, and accumulated time. The work draws attention to the mattress not only as a place of rest but also as an archive of the body and the unconscious, holding traces of growth, repetition, and dream life over many years. The mattress is shown as it exists after years of use, its surface bearing subtle but persistent impressions left by my body. These physical marks serve as a record, mapping sleep patterns over time, becoming more inscribed with an imprint of lived experience, often overlooked in everyday life. Alongside this piece, I installed a series of ceramic elements placed directly on and around the mattress. These objects symbolise fragments of recurring dream imagery and subconscious emotions. In combination with the mattress, the work externalises what is typically invisible, giving shape to fleeting mental states while grounding them in a tangible, material reality.
